The siteis in the oldest part of the city right next to the Castle. The place is surroundedby old military buildings some of which has become museums. The aim of theproject is to give a place to the city centre where the tourist can find outwhat worth visiting and where the cultural activities are developed in thecity. The building can also offer cultural events itself due to it has spaces fordifferent activities like an exhibition area, multipurpose room, workshops andclassrooms.
The ideaof the project is to create a very compact and efficient building to keep the surroundinggreen area as free as possible. As a visitors centre I consider that the most importantpart of the building is the hall which organise the building in plan andsection, so the visitors can understand quickly how the building works and whatis found on it.
